Natálias

The play “Natálias” celebrates the centenary of Natália Correia, in a show that, among “smokes, glasses of champagne, declamations, songs, piano, meetings and disagreements”, brings together 23 women on stage, which celebrate the life and work of the poet and politician, taking as a starting point the book by Filipa Martins: “O Dever de Deslumbrar”, by Contraponto.

I went to photograph this piece at the invitation of my friend and actress, Lígia Churro, and it was an experience that I loved. I concluded that photographing a play is, essentially, capturing various types of emotions and expressions on steroids, and never being interrupted with an “oh, I never look good in photos, stop!” 😅

Baja Portalegre 2023

Baja Portalegre is one of the events that make up the Rally-Raid World Cup, in which motorcycles, SSVs and cars participate.

I went as a photographer for the Touratech Garmin Racing Team, with the aim of capturing the experience of participating in a Baja Portalegre, from preparing the bike to reaching the end of the race.

It was a very tough experience, full of mud and rain (classic of this race), but super fun and with a touch of adrenaline in the mix.

The idea of combining the natural landscape with sport has always attracted me, probably because I started photography through surfing, and so I already had a lot of expectations for this experience.

The photographic possibilities are practically endless, such as using trees or rocks to frame the subject, waiting for a spotlight in the landscape to illuminate it, Panning (photo with drag), etc.

Kids

Today I bring you one of my favorite subjects to photograph: Kids!

Their genuine expressions, the curiosity they manifest towards the world, the raw emotions… it all makes for some of my most impactful photographs I’ve created.

JRNY Fitness - Best of

Today I'm talking to you about a project that I have great affection for and that I am happy to be the official photographer - JRNY Fitness.

JRNY Fitness is a Body & Mind fitness training streaming service, created by my friend Daniel Mendes in 2020, and of which I have been part since 2022.

It all started when Daniel sent me a message because he needed photographic content for the project's Instagram page, and he remembered me. I was immediately super excited, because it coincided exactly with the time when I made the decision to become a professional photographer and, therefore, I was looking to increase and improve my portfolio.

The first photo session was in the Gulbenkian garden, on a cold January afternoon, and as it went so well, we never stopped from then on. In total, we have already done 3 photo sessions and 3 new seasons.
